What is your favourite eq that you always try to get first thing you log in ?

First of all I try to get Harthorn's Strange cloak, Filigree ring (my favourite ring), and then Flesh medallion or Amulet of Wizardy or Oomph

I can't actually be bothered to look for good equipment Sad
I usually:
1) Get something from the ground (more seldom from a share room)
2) Keeping the best equipment I come over when killing (obviously I kill different monsters when playing different chars (guild related etc)

I don't normally use uniques, just standard GOOD equipment.
Damn boring, huh Wink

not much interested in uniques even if they are good to have. the normal eq from Assembly's SR is good enough for me. if possible i'd like to have a better weapon (unique).

oh and i have to mention ... i hate stashers. Evil or Very Mad

I agree, my favourite equipment is the standard equipment.

I usually gather a set I can keep (normal items that doesn't disappear), so I know I always have a full set.

Uniques are often overrated (except for some guilds who desperately need them to be any good) and they take time to get often, time I get to actually play instead ... which is worth more for me, as I don't always stay on for very long periods at a time, more like many quick logins instead.

Oh, and my favourite eq is a mix of Vincent's and Finnaidain's stuff Smile

Me too! It's so anti-social...and the stashers I disliked the most...were Leper stashers. You could always tell a Leper stash. Whatever happened to helping your fellow guildmates. Thats what sharerooms are for!

Good point, Ally.
The vamp guild is simply amazing. This is just one great thing among the others.

I used to just get what ever the shareroom offered, but here lately I have been skipping over to BK, Light Leaf Forest and killing a small thief, using him to make a tree and then Killing Fezzik (nekkid) with one heal maybe, and just wear everything he has  Laughing I used to borrow it all from the guild, now I just go grab it straight off, made my SR points go up quite a bit. I love it, I like all his equipment and its a full set Very Happy

Oops I shouldnt post earlier than my brain works, I didnt realize the subject was What is my favorite stuff, not what do i normally play with..

My favorite stuff is what is listed above, but to make me Druidishly Happy I like

Plate of Bark - unobtainable for a Druid, So I have to wait to find one or be loved by someone who will give it to me

Hickory Staff - Makes me One Cool druid

Nest of Birds - who doesnt like a little oomph in their attacks

Silk Gloves - paired with the Hickory Staff and wow!!

There are  a few others I like, maybe for the messages they give, maybe its a light source amulet, Since druids dont use swords though, I dont know anything much about them... Very Happy and tend to covet more armours and amulets

I'll continue to stash my stuff until I can actually store it somewhere and have it there next time I login ... not get stupid excuses like "Oooops! We lost your stuff, here, take cash and tape it all over your body or throw them at the enemy, it won't be as good but who cares!".

And sharerooms are good, but you can't rely on them to have what you need next time you login.

And what harm are stashers anyways? Except for a couple of badly coded uniques, one's stash doesn't harm anyone, as uniques are reclaimed if not used by players (and in that area, the mud is much better these days to snatch these things back, sometimes too good, but you can't fool it anymore like they did in the past).

I remember a particularly easy way to stash was to give an item to a monster...if it wasn't killed often, then it was usually there when you returned...a quick kill and you have your item(s) back!

The very first thing I grab when I log on is a backpack.  I could absolutely not be able to play without one Wink

A list of my favorite equipment is actually quite easy...

My Falcon
A box of bandages

a backpack is a nice addition, but from those first two I can usually work my way up - and the best part is I don't have to worry about them being available!

When I played...ages ago...a backpack was also my first piece of equipment that I bought! Backpacks rule!

(sidenote - rumor: Poogie hides her blackpack under her bed because she's a darkie at heart!)
