What songs really represent who you are and where you're at in life? (Please include the artist's name as well.)

That's an easy one, its most definately:
Spritneybears - Gummibears!
(thinking mostly of the chorus on that one though)

But seriously.. If I can choose a swedish song, its:
Hel - Mörker
English song is atm:
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Don't Forget Me

If we are talking about my life's theme song then its either the Imperial March by John Williams or Queen's Flash (or Tenacious D's flash, both rock your socks off Wink ) Or Indiana Jone's Main Theme.  Any of those play in my head while I do heroic deads in RL Smile

As for songs that represent me?

John Mayer - No Such Thing - because I don't follow the predescribed paths to success.

Shai - Together Forever - because I am and will always be a hopepless romantic.

New Edition - If It Isn't Love - because I'm all about kicking it 'old school'.

Justin Timberlake - Rock Your Body - Because I will have you naked by the end of this song.

Well.. this is so a mood question. Had to think about it for a while... The ones I could come up with right now is:

When feeling low or hurt or just angry over something I listen to 'End of Hope' with Nightwish...

When feeling happy or just content I am listening to either Nighwish albums, no particular song, but the albums 'Century child' or 'Wishmaster' .. (can you tell I am a Nightwish-fan  Rolling Eyes  )

I will give this some more thought, to see if I can come up with a special song for the happy mood-days.. Smile

Oh.. I got one more.. Numb with Linkin Park.. also a not-a-happy-day-song...
Second edit.. they are just coming to me now.. same category as above, the bad-days-songs.. Pushing me away, also with Linking Park.. I have more of that category than the other happy part.. Because the good days you just listens to music, and not any special ones.. But that is me..

As the uncurable romantic I am (I am, I am!!!), I'd go for 'Unchained Melody' performed by The Righteous Brothers. Even though I haven't been alone for many years, that song just is sooooo easy for me to just drown in.

Ok, of all the questions I could get, this one is for sure the most difficult one. I was thinking, should I answer at all? Should I have an ironic (for making it easy) answer, or should I honestly give it some thought and try to answer even though it probably would be impossible? So, I choosed to try and make an honest answer and after having picked out all the songs that do mean a lot to me, and over an over again (although it breaks my heart) take a few away from this list....well, there were still over thirty songs left  Confused

And of course I cant write them all here, so I have picked out a few songs that really are close to my heart and thoose are (in no special order):

Last December - Iced Earth
The Hunter - Iced Earth
Slave To The Dark - Iced Earth
Question of Heaven - Iced Earth
The Coming Curse - Iced Earth
Keeper Of The Seven Keys - Helloween
The Kingdom - Edguy
Wake Up The King - Edguy
Black Mass - Warlord
Fullmoon - Sonata Arctica
Last Drop Falls - Sonata Arctica
The Mission - Queensryche
Where Dead Angels Lie - Dissection
The Crimson Idol - WASP
Bright Eyes - Blind Guardian
Sweet Child Of Mine - Guns n´Roses
One In A Million - Guns n´Roses

Ok, I refuse to take any of theese songs away, so if the answer is too long, I can´t help it  Twisted Evil

Since I post the topic and don't answer until I post the one for the next day I have a good 24 hours to think about it so my answers can be rather in depth and this is one of them. I just kept thinking of songs. Very Happy

This one is for Snafu because he's always freaking telling me to do this:
The Offspring "Why Don't You Get A Job?"- but I'm not sponging off of anyone. :p

These are my personal choices and I do have a lot but I love music and there are so many people that write songs that could have come from my head if I was talented enough like they are.

Meredith Brooks "Bitch"- because it's saying if you're called a bitch because you're a strong woman then so be it.
Shania Twain- "Man! I Feel Like A Woman"- another awesome song about asserting your womanhood.
Jimmy Eat World "The Middle"- because I am in the middle.
Bon Jovi "It's My Life"- because when I'm out of the fog that's me, I want to make the most of my life.
Matchbox 20 "Unwell"- this explains so much about how I feel right now, in the fog. The lyrics are perfect.
Stone Temple Pilots "Plush" (the acoustic Headbanger's Ball version most of all)- that song takes me back to my high school days and reminds me of who I was and the period in which I really became passionate about music. I should also add Pearl Jam's "Evenflow" because that song changed my life.
A-Teens "Floorfiller"- I'm addicted to that song and everytime I hear it I want to get up and dance, which I looooooooooooooove to do!
Gary Glitter "Rock and Roll Part 2"- For some personal reasons and because it's the song they play everytime one of my hockey teams scores a goal. Very Happy
Aerosmith "Fallin' In Love (Is So Hard On The Knees)- Well it is! (Plus I have to have Stephen Tyler in here because of his naughty lyrics and this is the song I got my default title from.)
Goo Goo Dolls "Long Way Down"- it's my post break up song and will be forever.
Goo Goo Dolls "Iris"- Johnny's lyrics really speak to me here.
Riddlin Kids "I Feel Fine"- another excellent post break up song. (I don't need these post break up songs right now but they're nice to have ready for the inevitable.)
Faith Hill "This Kiss"- because if you really love someone a kiss can totally turn you inside out.
Savage Garden "I Knew I Loved You"- because like GJ I'm a hopeless romantic no matter how much I try to deny it or squelch it.
Paul Brandt "I Do"- simply put; my favourite love song in the world.

/P

Okay, okay, I have to add Mindy McCready's "Guys Do It All The Time" because it's so true! Many of you probably don't like country music but she rocks.

"All My Life" by Foo Fighters
"Cigarettes and Alcohol" by Oasis
"Why Does it Always Rain On Me?" by Travis
"Wise Up" by Aimee Mann

That's a few..... I could list about 200, but............. I will not Smile

What songs?!
I don't think I can be pinned down by a handful of genres much less songs!

I suppose I could try and compile a list of a few of the artists/songs that have truly touched me in life, but it would be much easier to make a list of those that make me cringe - shorter list anyway.  Currently being away from my main library of music makes it a bit more difficult as well, but a few artists that I was thinking have had an impact on my life in just in the past 24 hours might include, but not be complete with:

Evanescence
Tom Petty
Travelling Willburys
Zepplin
Robert Plant
Marillion (especially with Fish)
Fishbone
The Soundtrack to the Rocky Horror Picture Show
Everclear
Pearl Jam
Nirvana
Jackson Browne
Jimmy Buffet
Billy Joel
Van Morrison
CCR
Louis Armstrong
Django Reinhardt
Queensryche
Motley Crue
Jason Mraz
The Dead
Sting/The Police
Bryan Adams
Gordon Lightfoot
Nina Simone
Aretha Franklin
The Mamas and the Poppas
Blues Traveler
Megadeath

Ok, I'll stop now
