Is there a way to defend from the Tome spell? Any other way then killing your opponent before he can cast it or quit and reconnect.

I know only one. The one which makes you walk all kinds of directions. Could you explain a little bit about Tome spells?

There's a shaving mirror for some wands, but I don't think there's much to do about tome spells. But then again, it's been a few years since I was an active playerkiller, that spell you're refering to came after I quit playerkilling, so I never really did any real investigation into the matter.
