There are people who take name documenting very seriously and try to keep their names as fantasy and guild/character oriented as possible. There are others without even the slightest interest in this area Smile.
So, what type are you, and what does your name stand for/come from/ mean?

I think Question of the Day/Week for April 25th has a lot of replies from people that would somewhat answer your question, Dulcineea.  I'll admit my own name can barely be called fantasy, since I wasn't really aware of that "rule" when I created Smudge.  My other characters either have names that relate to their guild or purpose, since I was slightly wiser when I made them. But I don't really feel like sharing their names at the moment, so I'll just leave it nice and vague like that.  Very Happy

Wait a second.  You mean some of you have more than one character??
 Twisted Evil

I'll tell you this was a name that I used "back in the day" when I played WFRP.  Can't take full credit for it as I chose the syllable components from a list intended for random generation of NPC names.
The down side of that decision was that a few years later a supplement to the game had an NPC with the same name!!!!  Crying or Very sad

Ah well, I am still the only Yavathol in Nanny!  Wink

Maggs is my pet female horse.
Azzer is a abbreviation of my male horses name.
Vicci was chosen to tease Mistress.
Paula is my dressage instructor.
Sherry was the girl that persuaded me to me ride horses.
Maggi was a play on Maggs and was supposed to be come a sym on death.

Not very medieveal I'm afraid :/

well... let's see I satrted witn Guppy, that's my nickname for like ages,
then I made my 1st khorne... Cerber that's romanian for Cerberus (the 3 headed dog that gurds the way to Hades's world of the dead)
then came Beshina that is romanian for fart and it was a leper,
then another knorne... Bloodhound that later went to become leper,
Uttgmro (taht was the lamest name I came up with I guess... http://www.uttgm.ro technical university of Targu Mures)
Adp was ment to be a khorne forever but later on becamed a lame dark
Teller was a try to give money to the vamp without sharing with Lilith  Twisted Evil Idled alot in the bank and a got money from newbs that were giving money to "Teller" not making a deposit, later to be a knight and still idling in the bank.
Lepra is romanian for leprosy so it's kind of easy
Clafinger is a swedish rock band that I like and kind of sounded cool for a vamp name
Irs comes from Internal revenue service and was my money making khorne
Khdemon is born to die a khorne
and Hellspawn is my curent dark, name inspired from the commics

O yes so I dont forget I think qwer's name and other chars of his r the reason that I think alot 'bout a name be4 I make a new chars so I dont end up like him

That is so bad. I love it. It reminds me when Beldin and I created the character Chaosdemon so that we could wield the chaosblade from Padrone's quest. Twisted Evil

Fce (nowadays known as Asarius) created a character named 'east', which made several people mail him unknowingly... In the post office, you get the question about chars to CC: to, but some people just tries to get out of the post office (ie 'east') before realizing there is such a question too Smile

Gotta love mischievous names. There have been several chars through the years as 'All', 'Everyone' etc which would play havoc with the feelings, not to mention chars with names that are feelings or partial name that goes to a feeling. I'll never forget the fun I had when (for a short time) 'poo' was a feeling in Barbers. You'd be amazed at the amount of people who used it when they meant Poogus. *snicker evilly*

It happened to me several times with Panic online on some guild line.
Also Potion was nice, a friend made it and he said Rowen died once on green because of him. I am not sure wether this is true but it sounds kewl.
