If you had to live your life as a toy which toy/kind of toy would it be and why? Would you want to be something that is played with and loved or something that is a collector's item and admired?

Usually I don't respond to the questions until the next day but this is one I wanted to answer right away.
I would want to be a weeble wobble. Weebles wobble but they don't fall down. They're also pretty indestructible unless someone is really trying to smash them apart. They have a cute little playhouse and cars and the treehouse and no matter how much or how far you push them they just don't fall down!
When they first came out they would have been a toy that was played with and loved a lot. Now they're a collector's item more or less and people have fond memories of them. They place them up in display cases and the weebles get to live a nice, quiet, restful life.
/Poogie who wobbles but she doesn't fall down either!

Hmmm... Is this a stupid question, or is it ingenious?!?!?!? Can't really tell! Uhm, I'll try to answer anyway... Tough... A teddybear will be hugged and loved, but will get worn and thrown after a while (or kept at the top of the book shelf for eternity), a ball will be used a lot and kicked/thrown/whatever, and will wear out pretty fast, a nice little car will possibly belong to several children which is nice, but probably take a lot of damage... Hold on, I know what I'd like to be, a perfectly legal copy of Unreal Tournament! That'd be perfect!

Ya know, I was thinking that's where you'd end up...with Unreal Tournament. Your whole answer...i was thinking..why not a computer game..Maybe I'd want to be Diablo 2, because if others are like me, you'd always end up playing the game you like..you'd go away..and come back to it when you got bored of your current game.

I think I would like to be a carillon, an elegant laqued box with the tiny dancer spinning at the sound of music when you open it.
Would be able to jealously hold your secrets and give you joy when needed

Some adult woman toy?
Heh.. seriously ... dunno. Toys don't last enough. Some collector stuff I guess that lasts a lot and it's valuable and elegant.

I would be my daughter's bear. That bear gets to experience the world
(I say experience because her eyes fell off long ago) and she is so
loved. Not to mention this bear has magical powers. Her hug is more
powerful than a mother's kiss. She can ease pain and cast a sleeping
spell over anyone who hugs her (trust me it works on adults too).
As for eventually being tossed or put up this is the inevitable fate
of all toys and I would rather have a short life filled with love than
a long empty one.

A toy? Hmm...
Do china dolls count? I'd be able to see everything and not be touched.. that would be nice I guess....
Or A Teddy Rubskin (sp?). Remember those? Teaching lil kids good things.. that would defiantely work.

Hmm...
Maybe a fairytale, guess thats would be nice. Or maybe some neat toy from a movie (collectors item), yeah I would probably go for Stripe from "Gremlins".

If I'd be able to choose I'd pick a computer game....
Nanny comes to mind
If not, I'd choose Morrowind or Baldur's Gate.

Heh, as Nanny, I would 'bug' as much as possible to kill players and annoy wizards. perhaps accidentally demote some, and change some rules the way I like.
I'd try to have some fun, to control people, not to let controlled.
Seriously, I wouldn't like to be any toy or game. I am not happy with what I am now but I'd probably still choose human.
