This is kind of a morbid question so you can also just think of it as your last meal in another way if it bothers you:

Imagine you're on death row and you're about to be executed (pretend that they start killing people for mudding too much). What would you want for your last meal? It doesn't have to be just one dish worth, you can have anything you desire, so what would it be?

/P who is trying not to be too morbid :p

Wow, this is a morbid question, trying to come up with an answer I couldn't help but get sad, thanks for kicking off my weekend this way  Confused

Hopefully by the time I hit my execution date, I will have made peace with my life and have no regrets so I can enjoy that last meal...

I doubt I'd want anything fancy, just something hearty and satisfying: succulent baby back ribs, corn bread, garlic mashed potatoes, stuffed mushrooms and some kind of chocolate dessert.

Ok, now I'm hungry and sad, I'm gonna go hug my family and fix a snack. Wink

Well, I guess I would pick anything that was really delicious, assuming I had the appetite of course. I can't really come up with a special meal like that..but something homemade (Moms food taste best!) would be great.

I cannot believe I would be sad over the situation so my dinner would have nothing to do with that...although I would maybe feel a bit stressed and so it could somehow be hard to eat. Still I would order what I normally think taste the best  Twisted Evil

Okay, for all you people that are oh-so-sensitive just pretend that you're going away on a long trip, years and years and you won't be able to have your favourite foods for that long. You'll exist on plants and insects. What would you want as your last meal before you leave?

(Is that better?)

If I was on DeathRow and could choose freely, I'd pick something really rare and expensive as hell.
Just so they waste a little extra resources on me.  Twisted Evil

Bruschetta, extra garlicky.
Chicken parmigana.
Garlic bread.
Salad.
Something delicious for dessert, like chocolate mousse.

Sorry, cant eat if I am stressed. To enjoy a meal I need to be happy and relaxed Wink
So let's change it into "This is the best day in your life, you have achieved something really great and to celebrate it you decide to have the best possible meal..."

In that case I'd go for:
Oysters
Shrimp risotto
Grilled seabass
Greek salad
Tiramisu
and Malvasia as wine ofc Wink

Kebab and fries, the fries drenched in white garlic sauce ... several dishes in fact, I'd eat as many as I could stomach before I roll out to be executed.

This one is easy.  Very Happy

Tagliatelle Carbonara with warm, crusty bread.
Cheese and bacon salad or Chicken Caesar Salad.
A side of chips, not fries, proper chunky chips.  Razz
Chocolate gateau, mandarin cheesecake or Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream ( or all three!)

or...

My mum's Roast Lamb Sunday Dinner, with crispy roast potatoes - yes, we English love our Sunday roasts.  Very Happy
Chocolate cake and custard.

All served with a big bottle of Lilt and a bottle of good red wine. Ok, so that combination might make me sick, but hey, I'm gonna die within a few minutes!  Twisted Evil

I probably couldn't eat anything.

This is my FINAL variation on this question. Party poopers!

If you had been lost in a forest for a year and survived on nuts and berries and what game you could catch and you were found, taken back to civilization and could have anything you want to eat, anything at all, what would it be?

I'd have to have:
Einstein Bagel's chicken caesar salad
                       cobbie sandwich
Jason's Deli's santa fe chicken sandwich
                    baklava
Dave and Buster's bananas foster pie
The Texas Roadhouse's grilled chicken with mashed potatoes and cream
                                   gravy
their rolls with the cinnamon honey butter
                                   the cactus blossom
                                   their side caesar salad...

Okay, I'll stop now. As you can see, I'm hungry!

Well, you asked two totally different questions and I have two totally different answers....

For Death Row (now why I would be there I can't imagine) I would request:
Slow roasted Dodo bird
A salad consisting of any of the indegenous plants of Mars
A Pan Galactic Gargleblaster

Hey, if they can't come up with it right now, I can wait....

For coming out of woods...
Well, let's be a bit more reasonable then:
Filet Mignon, cooked Blue - not a hair over
As much sushi as I could possibly get my hands on, and none of those California rolls
The best bottle of red wine I could get my hands on - Sangiovese, Zinfandel, a good Chianti - something with some spice
Pure, real Dark Chocolate - not that creamed up stuff we pass off for chocolate here in the states either, but the real stuff - this would be best if served alongside some strawberries and blood oranges.

I think if I've been eating so many plants for the past year I would forego any other side dishes - but rest assured that lamb, stuffed chicken and pizza would be on the rest of the week's menu somewhere
