It isn't often that a player wizez, right? I think there should be a ceremony or something... As a suggestion for how i would like a druid to wiz: I saw this movie that was nominated at the Oscars for best short movie or smth (it's called "The Cathedral) in which a druid comes into an unfinished cathedral made of pyllars from roots spiraling from the ground, each pylar containing a face. At the end the druid touches the ground with his staff and roots grow out into the ground and he starts to grow, like a tree, until he forms a pyllar. Maybe each guild could have a different way in which a player achieves immortal status.

There already is. Witness: A new Druid wizard has been born! A new Leper wizard has been born! A new Mage wizard has been born!

Get used to it? Actually..when you wizzed..wasn't that before they started doing applications? With the application process..I don't think there are announcements anymore as sometimes..or is it most, the player -> wizard isn't even logged in when it happens. I remember Morild logging in and checking every now and then. Admin response? /Snafu

Yeah, I think I was one of the last (if not the last) wizards before they changed it.

I had to fill out an application when I wizzed in '94. It had questions like what would I code, and so on. I believe you can still find them somewhere. Mine says I'd "definitely code a moving van." Heh.

Heh. Hmmm, when I wizzed in '93 I don't remember any application... I really can't remember though, it would be fun to get hold of one, and publish it in the Logs area! Avis, could you find this application somewhere?

Actually, I believe it was called the wizform and it consisted of a bunch of questions. This form was to be read once you reached level 20. It was gotten through Leo the Archwizard. Once you answered your questions, you had a sponsor (or who was going to sponsor you - Before they implemented new levels including a level for sponsor, it could be any other wizard) to sign it and an admin (ofc they would have to approve of your choice of sponsor) would validate it. After that, you were a wizard of level 21. I remember a few of those. *hrm* /Snafu

The new wizard still has to fill out the wizform to become level 21. It's just the automatic wizzing (level 19 -> level 20) that has been replaced by the application process.

I had filled the wizform. I'm having my 3rd sponsor right now. :> This one seems to be still patient, but I guess it would be about time for me to make some time for my area.
