Hanzou's character named Kitana used to take newbies to pet...needless to say, he no longer plays here. Last I saw of him, he was on Gateway mud and that was 7 years or so ago...

I sold a dead chia pet (either a unicorn or poochie) for 2k over Trades once.  But I felt bad for it and returned the gold.  Rolling Eyes

I once tried to sell a non-unique (but good) 2-handed sword on Trade line, but people jumped on me that I want to trick newbies. The sword would've been pretty expensive in shop, more than 2k anyway, so actually I was doing something good; I really thought that someone might need that.
I just didn't know there was a rule not to sell non-uniques on the trade line.
One of those who accused me was some well-respected knight, don't remember his/her name; not that it would matter.
It's just that some high level and guildlevel players can be so n00bs, unfortunately.

I would not think it would matter whether it was unique or not and I do NOT think it is a requirement.

A few amusing memories from a few years back:

A failed dark ritual:
The leader of that ritual picked 4w,15n from green as the location for the ritual. It turned out later that you can't use the "say" command in this room because there is a waterfall that drowns out everything you say. I think there were around 4-5 darks in this ritual and we all sat there trying to figure out what to do about it. And then someone realized that you could perform the ritual using the "go" command instead of "say". By then a good amount of time had already elapsed and so the leader (poor guy, whoever he was) struggled to copy and paste the ritual lines in with the "go" command. With all the pressure, he did it wrong. So the ritual failed anyway. Wink

A tantrum:
So there was this other ritual that I was leading. And some idiot newbie dark decided to quit after it was initiated because he didn't have a light for it. I was probably having a really bad day and this really irritated me. So I shouted for him to log back on in case he was logged on with another char. Some wizard decided that this was bad use of the shout command and gave me a shoutcurse. This really irritated me and I bitched about it on the spammers line. And to my consternation, Slakktor said that he did agree with whoever cursed me and in fact, if he hadn't had earmuffs which blocked out the shout in the first place, he would have done it himself. This was the last straw for me and I just quit the spammers club. No one had any idea why I got _so_ excited over it all, and to this day, neither do I.

Die by my blade:
At some point, I spent much of my time killing Pet over and over. This was largely because a knight used to pay me tons of money to get him the platemail and I really enjoyed making him pay outrageous amounts. But I think I also wanted a high position on the killers plaque for reasons that I can no longer understand. Once I decided that I would shout "Die by my blade!" right after the kill, just to show off. And I wanted it to do that shout with almost no delay, so I made a trigger for it. Unfortunately, I later forgot to disable the trigger and kept shouting it afterwards and didn't realize it. I remember Snafu making fun of me about that. I tried to explain that it was a trigger, but no one believed me.

Law's corpse:
Do people remember Law? He was this dark who used to play a lot until he got banished. He was a fairly high paragon, on the paragon toplist for a brief period until he got himself killed a couple of times. Once he went linkdead and didn't statue and so he died in the Morc monastery. So of course, I got Brom's hag to locate him and went and looted his corpse. Just as I was leaving the monastery, Oriole came in, saw me and left. Obviously she had had the same idea. Hmm... is robbing corpses knightly? Even an enemy's corpse? Of course, morals don't apply to me since I am a dark. Smile

Ereshkigal the warmonger:
I used to love basalt keep attacks. Once I used sensitive eyes to blind a knightess during the attack. It wasn't as if she was really contributing much for the defence, but it amused me to irritate people. And the knights certainly were irritated. I remember getting some "warnings" from Bluejedi. Later this knightess started playing the attacks with her simyarin, but was convinced that I was trying to kill her. So for a few attacks after that, everytime she had a bad time in an attack (with no contributions on my part), I got "warnings" from the knights.

A fiasco:
I once had a trigger to make me quit and I forgot to disable it. Then later in a basalt keep attack, something set off this trigger just after the attack had begun which made me quit and by the time I got back to the keep, the knights (Bluejedi was one...and some other knight I think) had slaughtered all the defenceless flames. Needless to say, I was not very amused then..but they were.

Nectaris and the knights:
A funny log Pasca sent me once... (watch how Nectaris boosts the price and gets away with it)
[Trade] Nectaris: JC's cloak & JC's ring.
[Trade] Nodge: 5k
[Trade] Nectaris: 6k both
[Trade] Alert: 7k both
[Trade] Nectaris: Sold, Alert.

Falcon hunting:
And then there was the time when I used the scrolls from Brom's area to summon a demon on green. Garetjax was idling on green then and started laughing at me thinking I was setting a trap for newbies. And while we were joking around, he failed to notice that it was killing his falcon... Wink I am soooo sorry GJ! (yeah right Wink )

That's all for now. Wink Maybe this wasn't as funny to everyone else, but it was fun remembering things. Smile

Uh oh, Eresh, I'm sure that was my alt in the dark ritual.  I probably logged back on to say what and then ran off when you got mad!
I never did get the hang of the darks, due to my angelic nature (I'm sure!)

No, it wasn't you. Smile It was someone else with a knight as his first char though... I forget his name..something with a Z.

I do have a funny memory about you though! You were idling in the room south of Pet to hide from the tag club people. And I saw you there once and warned you that it was a dangerous place. Then a few days later Ydo (a vampire) wanted to kill Pet and found you there. He tried to get you to move but you were probably afk and didn't move. So he went ahead and attacked Pet and the flames killed you. And they destroyed the corpse and the coins with it. You thought that Ydo had stolen your coins and started complaining on Paragon line. So I said to Ydo in a private tell that I had warned you before. So he immediately quotes me on the Paragon line (and I'm thinking, "Nooooo! Leave me out of it!"). I think you were pretty mad at both of us. Razz

Hahaha!

I took Nanny soooooo seriously in those days. I must have come across as really annoying lol.

I recall hiding out near Pet, no idea why that was now apart from that I had a shortcut to get there and it was a place I couldn't be found.  In my latter Nanny days I was often AFK, roleplaying in another window, so serves me right if I got murdered by Pet.  I think I had the record for most deaths by Pet and even as the angelic sickeningly good character I was, I killed my fair share of newbies in a misguided effort to get them vast amounts of XP by killing him with them - what was I thinking?

Asides from Pet, I remember going to the cinema to see Lord of the Rings, and I was SOOO overjoyed at seeing a Balrog, I shouted out in there and my friend just looked at me as if I was mad.

I'm such a geek lol

Heh, I actually also thought about both Beldin's balrog and Tulkas' when I watched LoTR Smile
