I've just noticed an improvement that has been made (Lars knows when).
Stats can be bought with NP. Well, bought with all available XP, provided
the NP left justifies your game level.

Thats much better then the previous sysyem, where you could only buy
stats with XP over and above your current level threshold.

So, given that I do enough moaning, I want to say 'hurrah for the admin',
and hope Banshee has a goodie birthday,

This was the point of the Nannypoints system and has been like this since it was introduced.

If you have 9,500-10,000 qp you can thus spend every single point of experience on something, and still have enough Nannypoints to remain Paragon.

And yes, it's very convenient for guilds that die a lot, since you wouldn't have to first regain experience to level back up, then get the experience to raise your stats and/or guildstats, you'd just zoom back to your former level (unless you had paragon levels) and work on your stats immediately.

No it has not been like that since Nannypoints were introduced. Until
recently you could only buy stats with XP that was over and above
the threshold for your game level. That tended to put a lot of new
players off the game because they advanced game level, after solving a
few quests, only to find that they couldn't advance stats. Some left at
that point, some gave up and created new chars, all were discouraged.

Your knowledge of the game always ceases to amaze me

It was changed approximately 2 years ago, that is after NP was introduced, but not very recently (or recently if you got 2 year timeframe hehe)

Well put Smile

It certainly demonstrates the neccessity to periodically challenge your
assertions regarding how the game works.

Perhaps PK would rock again if you tried now Kymn?

Perhaps I can now heal 100HP/SP per heal with no Hsat effect?

Only Joking

good point Smile
the system has been excellent for vampires, giving questing value without making it neccessary, should work great for PK too Smile
especially since a few untimely deaths has made me give up on paragon levels Wink

But then I'd have to spend a lot of time making kymn ready for PK spellwise, so in a year you might see Kymn out throwing arrows on vampires Wink

Atleast I pay attention to how it works now Maggs. You didn't notice for years how it worked actually worked ... so enjoy your witty remarks.

To recap:

I stated that I had just noticed a change.

You stated that it had been that way since 1999.

It clearly hadn't. That doesn't demonstrate much perception of the
subject to me.

On the subject of exp, I must once again ask why 13 costs less than 12 in stats

I'm not sure of the official reason, but I always assumed it was because some people think that the number 13 is unlucky... Crying or Very sad *shrug*
