This one was provided to us by our dear moderator Snaffie Very Happy

If you were to suddenly find that you're related to someone famous who would you want it to be and why?

Oh, can I choose someone famous that is not alive? Then I would choose Vlad Tepes of course, I would found it very nice indeed to be related to this romanian prince. Why? Cause then I would know where my bloodlust came from.  Twisted Evil

Otherwise I could also imagine being related to Einstein. Why? Cause I would be very proud and I would have my hopes that some of his braincells passed over to me.

And if I would have to choose someone that's still alive. I cannot imagine who that would be, someone rich who could give me lots of money perhaps. Twisted Evil

Maybe Axl Rose would be a good candidate!!

Bill Gates - can you imagine what the gifts would be like?  Laughing

Ok, Seriously though...
I can think of a handful of "famous" people that I have a lot of respect for, but - based on other famous people I have met - I can't say I would really feel a need to be related to any of them.  I'd rather be a friend to the ones I respect, and avoid contact with the others.  Although, I suppose there would be some fringe benefits to being related to a movie star or famous musician...

I might need to think about this one some more

Ok, after a little more thought the answer came to me - JimmyBuffet!  Just to get some time to hang out with him on the road would be so much fun!

I'd love to be related to sir Isaac Newton or possibly Leonardo da Vinci. Of course I'd hoped their brilliance to have been passed in some extent to me.

Of the famous people of today... No one, actually...

I've had a hard time coming up with an answer for this one, at least beyond superficiality. I could say "Bill Gates" (I had him picked when Snafu gave me the question) for money or "Peter Jackson" for many many reasons including the opportunity to meet Dom Monaghan.
I could say someone intelligent as well but from the way Snafu put it I've been related to this person all along and just found out now so having that extra intelligence (if they're dead and can't speak with me/share it with me that way) wouldn't help much. Someone from the UK probably wouldn't help much because they couldn't get me citizenship unless they had some serious clout so....maybe the royal family?

I don't have a satisfactory answer for this question yet but I'll keep thinking about it...

Someone rich and almost dead but only if I would be the only .. erm .. how you say that, the one who loots all.
I couldn't chose someone else, I would like to have like 10 qualities (the main ones) I don't have right now so there is noone good enough for that. Smile

Elisabeth Bathory.
Since count Vlad is claimed already, I'll have to go with this hungarian "blood countess".  Twisted Evil

Charlize Theron.

Then I could convince Stuart Townsend that he actually loves her adorable little sister (me!) much more than her and leaves her for me. Very Happy

Now there's a plan!

And I dont think being related with someone famous makes one more special, being someone famous does.  Mr. Green

Famous doesn't necessarily mean special, and special doesn't mean famous. To me, at least. There are lots of famous people that I wouldn't want to be related to.
