1  NannyMUD / Question of the Week / Re: Can I take over?! on: April 14, 2006, 09:43:37 PM
Snapple is afraid of a gi-irl, Snapple is afraid of a gi-irl... Wink angel

Snappy is smart enough to be afraid of a green eyed blonde woman...you should be too.... Evil or Very Mad

(And I think it's a good idea if Snappy takes over...he has a lot more time these days than I do).

The law says 55 but courtesy says get out of the way when someone wants to drive faster than you and you're in the lefthand lane.

People in the lefthand lane who drive AT the speed of traffic to their right SUCK. Get out of the road grandma! *snicker* Seriously, people who drive slow in the left lane need to get out of the way, YESTERDAY.

3  NannyMUD / Question of the Week / Fate, Destiny, Density.... on: October 28, 2004, 08:34:07 PM
"You are my density...." (I've always loved that quote, can you name the movie?)

Do you believe in fate, in destiny? Not just in terms of love but in all aspects of life. I think I've already asked about soulmates and true love and all that but this is more all encompassing. What about a higher spiritual power? Do you believe in God or some other religious figure?

4  NannyMUD / Question of the Week / Betrayal and Revenge on: October 28, 2004, 08:30:58 PM
The last time you were betrayed by someone did you get revenge? Did you consider it? How did you handle the situation? (This could be as simple as someone repeating something you said to the person you were talking about and of course we could get into the subject of how it's bad to talk behind someone's back but sometimes you do need to vent some steam. :p)

5  NannyMUD / Question of the Week / Jobs... on: October 28, 2004, 08:25:33 PM
I know I've been a very bad Poogie and haven't written a question in awhile so I'll post a few to try and make up for it. Work is taking a lot out of me, being unemployed is so much more fun.  :p

I hate the people that have moved here from California and Texas and drive like they're the only ones on the road, either cutting people off or driving slowly in the fast lane.

Don't mess with Texas!

Besides, people drive like idiots ALL OVER THE PLACE. You're unfairly accusing Texas of driving bad...and its not just them, so don't mess with Texas!

/Snafu Very Happy

Well, if they have Texas license plates then I don't think I'm unfairly accusing them. I should have stated that they're the rich Texans because I met some really nice Texans when I lived in San Angelo. It was the rich bastards that came up here to go skiing or something and never left. They had all the time in the world and drove whatever speed in the lefthand lane. The law says 55 but courtesy says get out of the way when someone wants to drive faster than you and you're in the lefthand lane.
7  NannyMUD / Question of the Week / Location, Location, Location! on: August 30, 2004, 08:19:58 PM
And again I'll reply to the question first or else I might forget. :p

Hmm, Colorado. I love the mountains, I love the outdoors and the variety of shops we have here and the fact that I can go grocery shopping at any hour of the day or night.
I love the true Coloradoans, the ones that let you in front of them in traffic, that wave when you let them in. I love the psycho outdoorsy Coloradoans too. I love that even though Colorado is a conservative state everyone pretty much has a "Live and Let Live" attitude towards life.

I hate the fact that there's no ocean here. I really miss having it so near me like I did in Monterey and Hawaii. I hate the people that have moved here from California and Texas and drive like they're the only ones on the road, either cutting people off or driving slowly in the fast lane. Coloradoans never used to drive like that. *sighs reminiscently*
I also hate how crowded it's become here. Traffic gets worse and worse every year. I miss the small town feel that Aurora used to have.

All in all Colorado is an awesome place to live, even if it isn't Europe. Wink

What do you like the most about where you live and what do you like the least about where you live?

9  NannyMUD / Question of the Week / Collection o'Quotes on: August 15, 2004, 08:28:49 PM
Here are just a few of my favourites, I have quotes everywhere....on my computer, in my planner, scribbled on pieces of paper around my apartment, etc. I love movie quotes and song lyrics but I'll dig all the really good ones out later.

"when the world is puddle-wonderful..."
ee cummings
(I really love that image of those days when it's raining and you go out in the rain and jump in the puddles. That is so awesome, totally incredible. =))

"If you label me, you negate me."
  anonymous

(when you were a kid did you ever wonder who "anonymous" was? he always had the best quotes of all! :p)

"Snakes have no arms, that's why they don't wear vests."
  Vertigoii

(former nannymudder, this always makes me laugh for some reason. Yes, I'm a dork too.)

"Life's meaning is love's magic."
anonymous

"Si la estupidez es una virtud, uds son virtuosos." (If stupidity is a virtue, you all are virtuous.)
  At the University of Peru

"Men always want to be a woman's first love; women have a more subtle instinct, what they like is to be a man's last romance."
anonymous

"Comedy is life viewed from a distance, tragedy, life in a close up."
  Charlie Chaplin

"I may never get an Oscar but at least I'll have a game."
  Kevin Bacon

"Nothing great in this world has been accomplished without passion."
  Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel

"If you don't have anything to do, don't do it here."
  SSG Ray Emerson

(He was one of my sergeants when I was stationed in Hawaii.)

"Always do sober what you said you'd do drunk. That will teach you to keep your mouth shut."
  Ernest Hemingway

I'll have more later. Very Happy

What are some of your favourite quotes? They can be about life, love, whatever. They can be song lyrics or pieces of poetry, things that inspire you or help you sustain your resolve.....

11  NannyMUD / Question of the Week / Yourself on: August 15, 2004, 05:45:45 PM
There are so many different facets to each of us, parts that make us whole. Many are good and some are bad (more so for some of us than others. Very Happy).

What do you like most about yourself? What is the one thing that makes you the most proud to be you?
What qualities really make you you, for better or worse (no, not for richer or poorer :p)?

14  NannyMUD / Question of the Week / Nanny crushes on: August 13, 2004, 03:22:59 PM
Have you ever had a crush on another Nannymudder that didn't end up in some form of relationship, perhaps you never even told them? We all know about the couples that have gotten together thanks to Nannymud like Snafu and Labyrinth and we don't need to know that they had crushes on each other, that's a really big DUH!!! I'm asking about things that are more like secret admirer crushes. You don't have to name names if you don't want to, of course... I'm more interested in the # of crushes and thoughts on "what may have been".

15  NannyMUD / Question of the Week / Kid names on: August 13, 2004, 03:13:08 PM
Quote from: Kherec
... and the fact I have a char on the mud with that name is just a coincidence (that of me liking the name), not that I came up with the name for the char and then slapped it on my child.

Same for me except I haven't had (and probably won't have) a daughter named Izabella so I named one of my knightesses that.
