I left this one a little while before i posted a reply. Been giving it some thought.... I wouldnt say i feel guilty for any of these, but they are a few pleasures i love.... Chocolate - post-break up chocolate always tastes better Shoes - i think my shoe collection will reach triple figures this year Cheesey Rock Music - if its from the 80s or 90s and had screaming guitar riffs, i'm hooked. Think Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, Eric Clapton etc... Sex - i cant believe no-ones put this yet. And no, I dont feel guilty about that one. Red Wine - especially girlie nights in with a bottle of red. I guess thats it for now. Might come back with some more. Laysha. xx

NannyMUD / Question of the Week / 19 May 2004

I think we do see things differently, yes. My dad, for example, is colour-blind and he says he can see very little difference between the colours purple, green and brown. However, if you were to lay a purple, green and brown coloured crayon in front of him, he could identify them correctly, he says they all just look like different shades of the same colour. I spent ages testing him when I was a kid! So I do think that we see things differently, we are just taught as children that what we see has a certain name. We could teach a child that a dog is called a cat and that is what they would learn. So if we were to teach them that a certain colour is called yellow, thats what they will learn. Does that make sense? I dont think it matters that we see things differently, its just interesting to think that the world is a completely different experience for every person. Laysha. xx

Yeah I'd like to be happy for eternity. Although, how can we define happiness without having been upset/hurt/frightened/depressed first? If we were happy for eternity, surely we would not know that we were happy as we would have had nothing to compare to. Am I going too deep with this? I quite value emotions and how they change. For example, if I am particularly worried about something for a period of time, after that being happy or relaxed feels so much better. If I were to live for eternity, I would like to watch. Watch how the world and people change. After all, there wouldnt be much else to do. Laysha. xx

NannyMUD / Daily Rant / RL matters - Where do you live? (poll)

Oooohhh....it seems I am the baby here. I am 17, born 1987. I live in Dorset which is on the very south coast of England. We get the best weather here, if you like the sun, of course. I am currently studying Business and Economics, English Literature, Drama and Theatre Studies and Psychology at 6th Form College and I hope to study law at University. I will be taking a year out from work/schools etc. next year and I will be travelling around Europe. So if any kind Nannymudder would like to put me up for a few days, i'd be very grateful indeed! You can find a pic of me in the Pics section of Snafu's site, but a few of you have it anyway. I'll try and get a few more on there soon. Erm...I play the piano and guitar and I also sing. But only when forced into it or paid. That's about all I can think of for now. Laysha. xx

NannyMUD / Question of the Week / 10 May 2004

Being alone. Not having anyone at all in this world to talk to/share stuff with kinda frightens me. The very worst thing would be to die alone. To be lying in a hospital bed, or whatever and have no-one to say goodbye to, no-one to hold my hand etc. To know that there was no-one who cares about me enough to be with me as I die - now that's scary. Ack, I've filled up writing this. Other stuff like burning to death and being buried alive also scare me. Laysha. xx

Hmmm... I cried at Titanic but I wonder if there is anyone that didnt? The LOTR trilogy made me cry, every single one. Romeo and Juliet also got me sobbing. I love Shakespeare so much and I loved what Baz Lurhmann did with that play. Footloose is my favourite film of all time and although I cant say it moved me, it must have had some effect to be my favourite, right?? A Time To Kill made me real angry at the beginning and then real sad towards the end. I *hate* racism and prejudice of all kinds so this really did move me. I guess that's it for now.... Laysha. xx

NannyMUD / Question of the Week / 16 May 2004

5? Can I have 10? If it were 10, then all of the Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice. But if only 5, then: Interview With The Vampire - Anne Rice The Vampire Lestat - Anne Rice The LOTR Trilogy Chocolat - much better than the film, as books often are Ozzy Osbourne's autobiography - it's on my "to read" list Laysha. xx

Charlize Theron. Then I could convince Stuart Townsend that he actually loves her adorable little sister (me!) much more than her and leaves her for me. Now there's a plan! Laysha. xx

NannyMUD / Question of the Week / Last meal
|
on: May 08, 2004, 10:58:27 AM

This one is easy. Tagliatelle Carbonara with warm, crusty bread. Cheese and bacon salad or Chicken Caesar Salad. A side of chips, not fries, proper chunky chips. Chocolate gateau, mandarin cheesecake or Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream ( or all three!) or... My mum's Roast Lamb Sunday Dinner, with crispy roast potatoes - yes, we English love our Sunday roasts. Chocolate cake and custard. All served with a big bottle of Lilt and a bottle of good red wine. Ok, so that combination might make me sick, but hey, I'm gonna die within a few minutes! Laysha. xxx

NannyMUD / Question of the Week / Island commune

I would build a shopping mall next to the brewery so that mudders can fulfill their shopping urges (surely it cant just be me thats addicted to buying shoes??). Also, within the mall would be some great bars and cafes etc. for us to hang out in and relax. As an added bonus, the mall would be environmentally friendly and run off of solar power etc. That way we wouldnt exhaust our resources and could stay there forever. Laysha. xxx P.S. Can I bring Stuart Townsend please Poogus?

NannyMUD / Question of the Week / Island...
|
on: April 29, 2004, 04:34:27 PM
|
Poogus, I'm not on your island..... *sobs loudly* I doubt I could think of only 5 people. I'd have to take the whole of the druids guild I think - that would be a cool party! I guess my 5 would be.... Tredon - for obvious reasons Bahamet - for making me smile and generally being great Thefly - for the great killing sprees we go on Snappy and Myrsloken - for their unmatchable spamming powers (and yes, they do count as one in my eyes ) As for my 5th, now that is tough...anyone wanna come with me...?

OK my answer to this could be soooooooooooo long but I'll try and boil it down, lol. Goo Goo Dolls - Iris Staind - It's Been Awhile Trapt - Echo (Blame Bahamet for this one, he introduced me to it and now every time I hear it I think of him) Evanescence - My Immortal and Imaginary The Calling - Wherever You Will Go Aretha Franklin - Respect (The ultimate girlie tune!) Bon Jovi - Livin' On A Prayer and This Ain't A Love Song Aerosmith - I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing Bryan Adams - Everything I Do, I Do It For You (My fave song ever) I'm sure I'll be back tomorrow with another list.
