6  NannyMUD / Question of the Week / Destiny/faith/God. on: January 13, 2005, 10:38:43 PM
Yes, I believe there is such a thing as a destiny. I also believe theres a higher power coordonating things, but I dont regard it as God. It's a very neutral, cold and calculated power, not the all loving God the bible gives us. Destiny doesnt mean that we all have a purpose or a fix goal to achieve in life and that we're obliged to achieve it.
I'd rather say we chose our goals. Destiny manifests itself in the way of this irational choice we make. Often there's no logical explenation for this choice. It's the force that controls us, and if we chose to ignore it, it's the longing we feel, the longing for something we don't even know.
Things can be very simple but also very cold and impartial. We have the power to chose our goals. However, chosing something against your destiny is pretty much like peeing against the wind. It will come back and haunt you for the rest of your life.
And yes, there is such a thing as soul-mates. They do exist. Some of us know them, some of us only dream of them, most of us only mistake soul-mates for lovers and get dissapointed when things didnt work out.
7  NannyMUD / Question of the Week / Location, Location, Location! on: September 06, 2004, 04:46:52 PM
Hmm, as you all know I'm Snapple and I live in Bucharest Romania.
Ill try to summarize some of the things I like/dislike about the city/country i live in. So, lets start with the things I like:

1. Smokes and alcohol are pretty cheap. You can easily drink yourself into a coma without worrying too much about going broke.
2. Bucharest has very nice pubs and discos, especially the ones situated in the center part of the town. If you have any friends, theyre quite enjoyable.
3. Romania has both mountains and a seaside, so you kindof have a choice on where to go both in the summer as well as in the winter time.
4. Cheap hookers.

Now, about the things I dont like:
1. Genetic diversity is very low. The number of blondes is very small compared to the total amount of the population. The same goes for people with different eye colour than brown. What does this mean? It means that the green eyed blondes know they are rare and are acting accordingly! Twisted Evil
2. The country is still ran by the old generation (and here I dont only mean politically, but also economically) that was braught up in a communist regime and still acts according to that mentality.
3. The probability that a girl you meet here is more interested in your money than your soul is significantly higher here than in a stable western society (due to the profound changes in the structure of society and general instability).

There we go, thats what I can think of for now  Very Happy
8  NannyMUD / Daily Rant / Boredom on: August 22, 2004, 01:44:57 PM
Hmm, lately I've experienced quite an enormous amount of boredom. Problem is that I dont know what to do about it. Even if I keep busy during the whole day that only makes the few hours before bed more hard to deal with and after Myrsloken's leave, nanny is so quiet.
So, what I'm trying to say is that I hate Brom for permanently shoutcursing him and I hate Johanna for making him fall inlove with her!
There, I just said it!
9  NannyMUD / Question of the Week / Collection o'Quotes on: August 16, 2004, 02:57:34 PM
Hmm, my favorite quotes:
"Love is a sexually transmited disease" by Snapple.
and another I truly love:
"It's not rape if it's dead"  by Helmy.
10  NannyMUD / Question of the Week / Yourself on: August 16, 2004, 02:56:10 PM
My greatest quality is that I never truly care about anything. I just act concerned or passionated about something, but deep down I know I'm not.
11  NannyMUD / Question of the Week / 8 June 2004- 14 June 2004ish :p on: August 15, 2004, 04:47:35 PM
I can read the thaughts of certain persons, I dont care much about the others.
12  NannyMUD / Question of the Week / A long time ago - 17 July 2004 on: August 15, 2004, 04:41:56 PM
Well, if i could lose my ability to distinguish colors, that would be something positive. Not being able to tell a green eyed blonde from the rest would be nice Cool
13  NannyMUD / Question of the Week / Forget the dates, I think I should post by topic from now on on: August 15, 2004, 04:37:50 PM
1. Her sister.
2. Her mom.

4. Amazon.
5. Myrsloken.
14  NannyMUD / Question of the Week / 27 June 2004 - 3 July 2004 on: August 15, 2004, 04:35:30 PM

15  NannyMUD / Question of the Week / Favourite way to unwind... on: August 15, 2004, 04:32:03 PM
I'm amazed that noone mentioned getting really drunk as a way to unwind.
Yep, that has to be my favorite way which unfortunately I don't do as often as I would like anymore.
