Title: 22 April 2004
Post by: poogie on April 22, 2004, 02:16:24 AM
And today's question is:

If you could pick cartoon characters (and yes you can use several) to fit your personality who would they be and why?
You can use comic book characters and comic strip characters as well.

I have my answer ready but I'll wait until some others *hopefully* post before putting it up. If you need some assistance in remembering:
http://www.80scartoons.net/  can really help you. =)

/P   (not actually shock, I'm just really tired.)

Professor Hubert Farnsworth, from Futurama.

'If anyone needs me, I'll be in the angry dome.'

'Yes, it's the apocalypse all right. I always thought I'd have a hand in it.'

'Good news, everyone - I'm still technically alive!'

This one was easy, I _am_ a cartoon character! 'Carrion', that is, the evil pseudo-clone of Peter Parker, who, of course, is the AMAZING Spiderman.

Fozzie bear, because I think I'm funny.

Spike Spiegel, from Cowboy Beebop, because I never lose my cool.

Link, from the Legend of Zelda (cartoon, not video game), because even though I'm annoying, you can't help but like me

Okay, here's my answer and it's quite long but I had a bit of time to think about it:

Presto from _Dungeons and Dragons_ (because he was smart and a part of the group but also sort of alienated from it as well)
Spike from _Heathcliff_ (because he was cool and loved music and roller skates!)
A cross between Daphne and Velma (the flirt and the brain and Velma is a bit of a misfit....she is like Presto in that she's a part of the group but she doesn't have a solid place.  When they break up into separate groups, it's always Shaggy and Scooby and then Daphne and Fred but Velma gets traded between the two groups. Like she fits in but then again doesn't.)
The Brain from _Pinky and the Brain_ because I want to take over the world.
Animal from _The Muppets_ and _Muppet Babies_ because he's wild and crazy and loves to play the drums.

/P

Well, this is a hard question. There is of course a difference between a cartoon character that one would like to be...and one that fits your personality. I would say that I would have liked to be maybe some cool manga charcter like Van Helsing or Blood Hunter D, though when it comes to a character fitting my personality..I would maybe have to say "Scrat" from "Ice Age", which may not be just as cool

Maybe, and just maybe, there may be some sides of my personality that would equal "Jack Skellington" from "Nightmare before Christmas" also  8)

Poogus says Smurfette, because she can see me surrounded by all those guys and loving the attention.
I'll have to agree.

I do not know her name, but the prinsess in Shreck who change her looks at sunsets and sunrises.

Why? She has the temper that I have, she is kind of bossy as I can be now and then when I do not get what I want, and she is determent. If she decides to do something, she goes out to do it without giving up. She is both beautiful and ugly and that is how I feel from time to time too.. Sometimes beautiful and sometimes I just wants to go and hide and never show myself ever again..

Does Poochie count?

I have to (unfortuantly-being someone else said it) go with Professor Hubert Farnsworth too.  I'm sure if Futurama wasn't canceled you'd see a lime green chihuahua on it eventually thanks to him.

Tough one for me - I mean most of the characters I would normally identify with have been taken.
Sure I could say that I've often felt like the "Wolverine" type secretive, loner with a tough exterior....
But I also relate well to Freakazoid!

Of course, I probably have most in common with Yakko from the Animaniacs.

HEEEELLLLLLLLOOOOOOOO NURSE!
