Title: Mission board and party club. Post by: Morild on October 15, 2004, 03:10:21 AM I was reading the thread about a new party club (a great idea by the way) when it came to mind a scene we always used in my younger days when I played traditionally D&D board game.
Perhaps this idea can be of some use.. At the start of a new game we always visited the town centre and the Mission board on it. On the board there would be a vary of different missions like hunting down 10 skeletons (for low levels), finding treasures, rescue princesses and so on. What if the club could be somewhat connected to this board. And you got points and XP for solving different missions? There are so many quests, puzzles and great treasures in nanny, so if it would be possible to just link them to this board and the club It would take no time to get a great variety to choose from. I think this would make it easier to get players to explore and also quest again. And of course if you linked up a quest, all the party players would get their traditionally QP too. Post by: Jose on October 15, 2004, 07:03:30 AM Truly a good idea :D because it will encourage exploring, Because its always better to explore with a goal in mind rather just explore because you might find something. At least for me :)
Title: Mission board and party club. Post by: Yavathol on October 23, 2004, 12:42:37 PM You know, I generally like this idea a lot. Having a list of possible "missions" for parties specifically would be the bit that is really appealing. This would, in many ways, give me more motivation to play and to party with a variety of new people.
Unfortunately, unless you find a specific Wizard to do it I think it is unlikely to get much support from the powers that be since there are already clubs that have similar ideas on an individual basis... Treasure Hunters has individuals find specific treasures There's a club that has missions for specific kills Quests are quests (and there's a club for that too) The thing that I like is tying it all together and then giving it a party atmosphere - excellent idea. |
