Remember when about 10 wizards all decided to hang out in some mortal's backpack for a while, just for the hell of it?

Cracked me up when he looked in his backpack and freaked out.

Whose pack was that?  I can't remember.

Ya know. I don't remember who. But I DO remember doing that countless times with many mortals so it could have been just about anyone...and it was so long ago, that I'm sure more than a few of those who had hitchhikers may be Wizards now too. :D

What was even more fun...is when someone hung out in the pack...and then the mortal decides to dump them in the bin. DOH!

Remember when Monks could bury Lepers when they were faking death?
Such fun, though the Leper didn't seem too happy.

Remember when damned guild membes could cast brom's death 'nysterlie?' spell? After that they were able to gdevour the corpse and get almost unlimited sp. Its no wonder they were always spamming the shout line, which is usually the domain of those pesky Wizards.

Remember when Leo's Archsword was available in the /examples directory? It had some obscene WC, and was an example of "This is a weapon that's too good for the game", I think.  /examples was primarily available as a default exit from a wizard's default workroom, so they could start learning LPC and how to create rooms, objects, and monsters.

Then one day Sambar auctioned Leo's Archsword on the Tradeline, and I seem to recall Leowon teleporting poor Sambar to the highwiz's workroom, demanding to know how he got it.

Well, Sambar said, you see, I looked around, and saw an old wizard (Gatelord, was it?) login, and the mortal I was talking to was transed from church to the wizard's workroom.

Yes, yes, Leowon said, get on with it.

Well, Sambar said, I made sure I was sober so there wouldn't be the "So-and-so is drunk" message, and dried myself off, and did a silent forced goto to the mortal. It cost all my spellpoints (plus 15!) but I appeared in the room without a message.

And? And?

Well, I prayed that neither of them would "look" and see me there, and I waited for them to logout (nice conversation they had, too) and walked into the examples directory and took the archsword. Then walked out, took the exit to church, and wondered what a poor Simyarin would do with that sword?

He made Sambar give it to him. Tsk.

Remember when Earendil's MG was on the mud.

You'd go around and there would be splats all over green, village path and village roads. The most satisfying splat had to be the bailiff.

Then there was the time you were able to drive the car into the area north of shop! Smorgasbord baby!

Not to mention the time you could drive it south of Adventurer's Guild. Can we say "how'd you get there" *innocent look* No! It wasn't the small car you see here...it was..um..I just woke up and there I was! Yeah! That's it!

i remember when the leper guild had a few members that could be messiah. one day Kurgan and Lazarus were competing for the title each with a 'personal' monk in party. somehow herb garden was waaay to small for our needs. :D

Remember when you could pump your hps in Gruhl's area?  I remember messing around with Terwin trying to get uber hps.  I think Ysidro was the master of this though.

What was even better...was multiple rhuks before Brom recoded them so that a demon kicked your ass when you 'abused' them by using more than one.

Mage guild was fun when could store your sp in your staff and have effectively over 400sp.

Remember when you would log on to telnet and hope and pray that the mud wasn't full so you could log on immediately? Otherwise you'd have to wait in the queue, watching for people to log off, so you could get your fix. (Or was that just me? :D)

I must admit, I never did.

I knew who Barbarella was...  and I always assumed Alexii was a guy named Alex who had characters named Alex and Alexii.

There were a couple that I wondered about though.

I remember a rl friend of mine being monk and leper, at once ... :) pretty funny stuff.

Actually, I remember in old days..one of my friend's chars was both Knight and Mage at same time. Now there was a kick ass combination.

I know another char who was bugged and always drunk for some reason.

Ah the buggy days...the days of reboot or crash within 5 hours...

Back when Padrone's storage worked and you could get money back afterwards, no matter the delay between last time ya used them.

And the days of cheating out DZ's life insurance with a Khorne character...hmm...lemme see. Zothommog as I remember dying down quite a few times...and making tons of cash off of it. Remember that, Iceblink?!

I've cheated just once in Nanny and they caught me. :) When you could throw negative amount of money in Leo's river ... my second character was bannad away for that.

I remember a time when Beldin and I created a character named Chaosdemon and we were the only ones able to use the Chaosblade.

Or the time when we found out that Padrone's security box stored negative coins...and since it ended up negative...it would give you back the same amount (up to like 900 or something). Heh. We reported that one right away.

I wonder if Padrone's defective force commands in the tower...will still be abusable. We had it on ground and told a wizard to force us to drop (insert amout coins) coins and they would do it..and it would force THEM to drop the coins....played dirty in those days.

Mmm, remember when you booklet-trap a playerkiller in the tourist office, and *wham* slam a big, freaking coach on his head, almost instant killing him?

Hmm...I don't remember that...but I do remember catching Bailiff in elevator (at church, before they became stairs) and then for some reason he was modified so that he could still escape...even when you couldn't...or the days when we trapped Harry in main village Pub...by giving him drinks...he then started putting them on ground (or giving them to you instead). And it's always fun to give Harry a corpse!

I think you mean the chesterfield sofa Kad ... other cute things were the banana peels and all the other playerkilling trinkets that were very common back in the days when I hunted.

Remember to paper boy that would stand on Ingis Lane yelling about newspapers and was frequently killed. Then he started running into the milkbar. I once saw him trapped in the milkbar with a bottle of milk.  Then he disappeared altoghether and was replaced by a stand.

Remember taking newbies to Brom's and locking them into the ticket room (this probably still happens)?

Remember the wimpy Magpie in Chino's area worth 13k xp?

Remember (before Monks could heal) when Heal Others had a shorter cooldown, and all the guilds could use it?

Remember the combination of items that could give a player dozens of attacks per round?

Remember the holy hand grenade?

Remember when Smittan the Leper Messiah PKed some dude with a delayed rot x 5, and when the poor guy prayed at the church, the rot hit him again (in the church) and he died again?

Remember when I possessed Pet with Anvil's wand and took him to green? He started shooting fireballs in all directions, so I took him to church whereupon he lobbed fireballs onto the green, killing three newbies (including Poogus...that's how we met!) and damaging many more.

Remember when Beldin got demoted for a month and was told he could be wizard if he played through the game again, and did it in a day?

Remember all those wingnuts in Lonewolf's inventory?

Remember Profezzorn's NPCs who looked like real players, and who would give you a tell now and then? Never did learn how to teach them stuff.

Remember the pyromaniac who would burn all the druid tree stumps he found?

Remember when you could plan druid trees indoors?

I just remember some player who was chopping down my tree while I was in it. I fell out after a while or something. Oh I was SOO mad. (lol, that was my wizard being a druid ;))
And I remember a sqintly squirrel I used to visit with my dark. I was visiting it quite often, but most of the time it was out somewhere, seemingly ... :p

I remember once that Profezzorn had a tool which would allow you to see through the eyes of his npc/players. Boy was that hilarious. It was even more so when some wizard zapped one of them while we were peeking. You want to talk about pissed?

I also remember when Twoflower and his luggage were about.

Woe to he/she/it who attacked the luggage...and ended up dead...the luggage liked to follow you...and it was extremely good at following, much better than harry or bailiff...

Or the time when I chased bailiff down and got to him before he got to IRS...

Or the time time when my area was near green...and Bailiff got caught in my forest! muahahahaha! that was fun! Needlessly to say...he died...that was back when I played mortal...

The first time my area was around, it was near green across the river to north and west of green...

The second time my area was around, it was off Brom's area...

Which leaves it to its present place which it has had since...96 maybe?

Uncomfortable kills, heh. I remember a friend attacking Avian in the ship when they went to a crusade. He was 'did not fight' and 'made the ultimate sacrifice'.  :twisted:
And that unclean man, boy I better not mess with him again.

Speaking of chopping down things *laughs*, remember being able to hammer away on people's statues, making them quit? *laughs* I'm not sure if it was a special item from Qqqq's or if it was any heavy blunt object that could do it.

Anyways, that was awesome and I did it all the time when lame people went linkdead while I was playerkilling them, then using guest to see when I logged off ... well, they saw their chars turned to dust instead under my mighty swings! ;)

Hmmm ...  Although I remember when they were around much more often, I saw that luggage just yesterday - I hope it's still around, because if I am having hallucinations that bad I might need to sail out to casada and be checked in.

The luggage is in Gwendolyn's area I think. Which is why it is still around. Twoflower himself left with Prof's area. The luggage is unable to get to the rest of the mud since the only path from Gwen's to the rest of the mud involves a non-standard exit.

I still remember that thing terrorizing me as a newbie.

Now see, I wasn't going to tell where it was... but that was where I saw it.

Now, if I can just think of a way to get it back to Green...  :twisted:

What the f..k! How would I otherwise get my hands on those super weapons, if I could not get them by using the secret word in my area?!?!?!?

It wouldn't be a secret if everyone knew it..its like Moloko plus at milkbar..which if memory serves..at least a year or so ago..stopped working? WTF!! Then why the hell does the drunk guy still mention it..if something is going to get changed..ERASE ALL references elsewhere.. come on! Or does that part belong in Rant? ;)

I think I might have topped this out Belegur, as I am the one that showed you, heh, I at one point had around 900+ HP, I never tested how high I could get, but I stopped at 900-1k usually to go hit Pet, and critters like that.....;)
