Title: Re: Yavathol's 5 top pieces of advice for newbies Post by: Carrion on September 09, 2006, 05:37:20 AM Another advice for a newbie: Don't automatically trust or distrust someone based on their guild. I don't really agree here. If you want to actually role play a tiny bit, you SHOULD (IMHO) trust for example a knight. Obviously you might be tricked, if the knight is not as knightly as supposed, but you probably will experience more emotion-wise. That way your MUDing will 'give you more', in contrast to only playing it safe, trying to lose as little as possible, never taking any chances (never dying, never getting those stabs in the back). Lunch now, must rush :) |
