If you had to spend the rest of eternity doing just one thing and that thing alone what would you choose to do and why?(Remember that you would probably still get bored of things like smoking/having sex/drinking beer and would want some away time from that, more so than from other things.)

/P who will start asking the easier questions again :D

Doesn't this question sorta remind you of groundhog day?

Okie, i'll bite. Alternating playing of Unreal Tournament and Pocket Tanks with Labyrinth.

I'm not sure if this answer qualifies, but loving someone (that loves me back, of course)? Ethernity would pass pretty quickly... :)

I cannot imagine to do any normal activity for an eternity. I would try to kill myself probably.

For eternity, one thing..... loving someone in a relaxing setting while having Nanny around.

What could one possibly do for eternity that wouldn't bore you...?

Yeah, perhaps love someone who loved you back, maybe read (learn new stuff all the time so you don't get bored), or maybe such a simple thing as sleeping, since I do enjoy sleeping very much and I never get bored of it.

Sleeping is a nice thing. It's just I wouldn't like to go to sleep like NOW for an eternity. It would be like dying ...

Yeah, I guess it depends, I´d rather die then live forever being bored

Sleeping yeah blackness forever doesn't appeal... now DREAMING on the other hand... with all that you can do when you dream... that  would work.

Simply spending time with Nilram. I can think of nothing that would
fulfill me nor sustain my interest more than this...besides I wouldn't
want to spend eternity without him.

If you can't chose what to dream, it might be also unpleasent or scary sometimes... but it'd be full of action and excitement, that's true.

Many of you had the same idea that I had. I would want to sleep and I would like to have beautiful dreams with no nightmares or else if I couldn't have that I would want a dreamless sleep. My nightmares (as with most people) scare the crap out of me. I wouldn't want to deal with that for all eternity. *fear*

Dreaming was the obvious choice for me, as I don't really dream 'bad stuff'... I've had a lot of dreams where I was fighting vampires and stuff, running away from zombies, killing nasty criminals, but those weren't nightmares, on the contrary, I was the Good Guy, the Hero, so it was really cool dreams with a lot of action and in the end I was the winner! So, even my 'nightmares' were good dreams to dream :)

Apart from the general response of "dreaming" which appeals to me as well, but that looks a bit selfish, i think i could spend the eternity both teaching and learning (dont know which one i like most).
With this I mean sharing my knowledge with other people and get new knowledges from them, not being beside a desk with the feared red pen :P
When i'm busy in teaching stuff and also when im learning new things i really don't realize time passes, and were it not for phisical needs, I could continue forever ;)
Yeah, keep your brain busy and eternity will look like an instant :)

PS I hope our Minister of Educations never happens to read this, she might consider it seriously and delaying the day of my retirement forever :P

Yeah I'd like to be happy for eternity.

Although, how can we define happiness without having been upset/hurt/frightened/depressed first? If we were happy for eternity, surely we would not know that we were happy as we would have had nothing to compare to.
Am I going too deep with this?  :?

I quite value emotions and how they change. For example, if I am particularly worried about something for a period of time, after that being happy or relaxed feels so much better.

If I were to live for eternity, I would like to watch. Watch how the world and people change. After all, there wouldnt be much else to do.

Anyway, eternity is probably not made for us. We're just humans, couldn't handle it sanely I guess.
I don't believe in God or at least not in religions or bible, I might believe in *something*... for example that we don't really own the universe and there might be some other 'people' around. :) Just to highlight, I am talking of our race. I don't know if others could handle it but I find it slightly unlikely.

Ah.. now we get into the basis for eternty by Qwer's line of reasoning.  A whole lot of time for "beings" to live.... but this raises up a lot of questions that should be another posty!
