If you had your own TV station and could put anything you want on there, what would be your programming schedule? (For all you that love some of the naughty stuff please try and be more creative than just naming different types of that. Try to keep it relatively clean. This is a Snaffie site.)

It would be movies and music.

I would send movies 4 days/week and music 3days/week. The movies would be everything from Shreck, Finding Nemo to Movies like Bravheart, Jeanne d'Arc to 'Real life inspired movies' to Plutoon and Apocalypse now..

The music would be almost everything in the category of Metal. Bands like Nightwish of course, Gamma Ray, Helloween, Three doors down, Epica, Aina and many many more.

Ybbie, the metal-lover.

Hmmm, Since I really think very little of TV ....
How about just broadcast the action from Nanny - maybe like a permanant log of the action on Green.

Possibly hockey games....
Maybe some of the few shows I do enjoy regularly,
Scrubs
BBC - Coupling, Father Ted, Anything with Rowan Atkinson, Monty Python...

Ouch, these questions get harder and harder to answer in a short way... TV-station... Hmmm, an easy way out would to put a lot of 'nice' cartoons and good kid stuff from about 06.00 to 19.00, after that a couple of hours of 'entertaining' series, like Witchblade, Cheers, Kojak, etc... Then there'll be a movie block from, say, 23.00 to 06.00 with 'quality' stuff (like Hitchcock, old westerns, old horror, Terminator, Star Wars, LOtR, etc...).

No commercial, of course... And no delays!

Hmm, also there must be GOOD sport, dunno where that would fit in though :)

Well...what would I send, thats the question. I guess there would be music and documentarys, actually no movies at all. Documentaries about war, animals, nature, serial killers, history, physics...simply whatever that gives knowledge and are interesting from my point of view.

And for entertainment I would send some good music in between, only metal of course, and mostly black metal just cause of the fact that there aren´t much black metal sent on other channels. The world certainly needs that.

I don't have the exact schedule set down but I'd want all of my favourite t.v. shows to have an hour a day each.

1 hr of Friends
1 hr of The Sentinel
1 hr of Quantum Leap
1 hr of The A-Team
1 hr of Star Trek: The Next Generation (special event days when an episode with Q is airing)

I'd also want to go back in time and get shows that should have made it but were cancelled early and left us fans hanging. I would save these shows: Savannah, Young Americans, Grosse Point, Roar, Crossing Over,  (include The Sentinel here too. Morons should never have cancelled that show. Freaking brilliant premise.) Some game shows like The Price is Right, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, Press Your Luck would also be provided.

Another 2-3 hours a day for new shows that could really be good. Some time for music videos from obscure bands and even mainstream bands that rock (according to my taste :p)

Probably 2 movies worth of time as well. If Cameron Crowe had more movies he would have his own movie period each day. Anyway, he'd have a movie showtime per weekend that would sometimes have cast interviews/interviews with him/etc.

Another weekly show would be my sisters and I reviewing movies. We hardly ever agree except on certain flicks and our fights become pretty funny irl.

All movie/music awards like the MTV ones, Grammies, Oscars, Blockbusters, Teen Choice, etc would be televised with a preshow, a red carpet show, the actual awards and a post show at some of the parties. As many hockey games that could be broadcast would be (of the Avs and the Wings, occasionally the Penguins, Mighty Ducks and the Sharks) especially during the playoffs.

Other entertainment specials including my own personal interviews with celebrities plus gossip, previews, trailers, pop culture trivia, etc would be aired as well.

Some of these things would be yearly, some weekly and some daily. I would coordinate with my program scheduler and figure out an appropriate time to air each program. :D

/P who loves her pop culture  :D

I think I would also bring back Rock and Roll Jeopardy. That show rocked.

Music and theatre plays. This is something italian stations really don't even consider (and i mean classical music ofc, concerts and operas, as well as operettas, musicals and so on).
Apart from this, good movies (without commercial breaks) and serious news.
Some old serials would be nice too, but considering the time i spend watching TV i doubt i would ever watch them ;)

I'd definitely want high-quality music and theatre--particularly the sort of contemporary work that doesn't get much attention. Then I'd want proper current affairs programming, not the sensationalist rubbish that passes for it these days. And then some good sports programming for when I feel like being a vacuous couch potato.

(Of course, apart from the sports programming, this would be Ratings Death in extreme.)

I can understand not putting most commercials but there are some that are so good they should be shown. I'd have the old Sergei Fedorov Nike commercials (duh) and the Bud Ice Penguin ones, perhaps the 7up dots, I miss those guys....I'd also have adds for Converse, Jason's Deli (if they'd give me free food), Einstein and Chipotle (for the same reason), Doc Martens and Coca Cola (mmmmmmmm! Hopefully I'd get some free Coca Cola out of it)

Trading Spaces of course!  And I would kidnap Vern and force him to make
more episodes so we could have at least 1 new Vern room a week, or
maybe just start the Vern show which would follow him around and film
what he does for his everyday clients.  It is ok because I admit I'm
addicted.

Hmm...guess I would also include M*A*S*H greatest one-liners there,
Babylon 5 specially for Nil, Dharma and Greg, Red Dwarf, My Hero, a
guilty pleasure hour featuring Friends.  Might also include Hockey
although games just aren't as good when you're not there.  Fill
in the rest with true crime stuff and documentaries about random
things filled with useless trivia.

Of course on my network all the best programming would be in the
middle of the night from say 22:00 - 6:00.
